Walking Out of the Darkness for Grow

As we come to the end of Mental Health Awareness week we wanted to share with you the news that Grow will be taking part in the Walking Out of the Darkness walk taking place on Brighton and Hove seafront on Sunday 24th June.  Walking Out of the Darkness is a unique mental health awareness and suicide prevention event which brings together mental health charities, members of the public, schools universities and businesses and local authority councillors etc to walk and talk together with the aim of raising awareness of mental health challenges, and to raise money for local charities – like Grow.  There are several events all over the country including this one in Brighton on 24th June.  The walk is approx. 9 miles and goes from Hove Lawns along the seafront to the marina and back.

We’d love you to support us if you can in any of the following ways:

  • Walk with us and raise money for Grow
  • Sponsor us from the comfort of your armchair!
  • Spread the word amongst your friends, family, neighbours etc

Walk with us

If you’d like to walk with us you will need to register with Walking Out of the Darkness here:

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/brighton-sunday-24-june-2018-tickets-42716562388

When you click on this link it will ask you if you want to sign up as an individual or Team.  IF you type Grow in the Team Name it should hopefully appear and you can add your name to be part of the Grow Team.

There is a £10 registration fee which does not go to Grow but goes to Walking Out of the Darkness to pay for the costs of putting on the event.

Once you have registered you will receive a free t-shirt in the post which we will customise on the day to show that you’re walking for Grow

You can then start sharing the fundraising link below with your friends and family and getting them to sponsor you for the walk.

If you do register could you please drop us an email at info@growingwellbeing.org.uk to let us know you’ll be getting involved so we can let you have any last minute details etc.

In the meantime we'll be concentrating our efforts on fundraising and we hope to have lots of exciting new ways that you can get involved with Grow and raise money for us at the same time.

In the meantime if you'd like to donate to Grow you can do so at https://localgiving.org/charity/the-grow-project/
