Since 2018 we’ve been commissioned by Brighton & Hove City Council to provide some regular bi-monthly sessions for mental health carers. Less of a commitment than our weekly courses but regular enough to give people something to look forward to, these sessions have proven themselves to offer valuable respite to those who carry out such a vital role.

Dates for this year are as follows: 4th June, 6th August, 8th October, 3rd December and 4th February 2020.

If you’d like to sign up for these please get in touch with Jane at janehowardchangesahead@gmail.com

the day provides an oasis in the desert that caring for someone with mental health difficulties can be

it has helped reduce my stress levels enough that I am better able to cope in the days after. It has helped reinforce the idea that I need to take care of myself so that I am better able to care for others

These days have provided us with a new way of working that we’d love to do more of.
